Most Cosmic Player (MCP)
Franklin Roosevelt

It was a relatively quiet game through seven innings. But in the top of inning number 8, the chief executives exploded and stunned both the players and the capacity crowd. Gerald Ford, a Republican, draws a lead-off walk. Lyndon Johnson, the Great Society Democrat works the count full and then fouls off six straight fastballs before connecting straightaway with a triple scoring Ford. Martin Van Buren, Democrat, grounds out to short and LBJ stays put at third. Calvin Coolidge hits a dribbler which Pisces thirdbaseman Mick Jagger bobbles. Runners at the corners, one out and Millard Fillmore, from the Whig Party gets a single scoring LBJ. Now it's time for the New Dealer himself, the great and powerful Franklin Delano Roosevelt, proud Democrat, to come to the plate. One pitch later, three runs come home as FDR blasts a towering homerun over the leftfield wall. Five runs are scored during the inning and the Presidents lead 7-1, which becomes the final score of the first game of the new season.
