Once Upon a Time

I'll be wolf
you be little well-read riding hood
I'll be hero you be Rapunzel
in touch with the body
I'll be a beast in your eyes
you'll be a beauty in disguise.
This can happen, now and again.

I'll be Grendel, monster-at-large
you be the artist, creator-in-charge
I'll be dragon
you be witch
I'll be lobster
you be fish.
This can happen, time and again.

I'll write a song
and whistle while you work
you'll sail atop the sea
glad to be thinking of me
I'll float up
and you'll slide down.
This can happen once again.

I'll intend
you'll outwit.
This can happen all over again.
