Bending the Light

Was I supposed to see you naked?
With your words of dispossession
it became an advertisement
& I wanted to have the good.
(God forgive me).
Remember the unlike minded
are not beautiful souls
not to you & me.
They ridicule for reasons
we've escaped from.
Everyone's an individual
even those cunts that are lonely and spiteful
Together will you let us judge them
by the gossip they convey?
How fed up with that line of sight are we?
Why not, for us
a cleaner more compressed light?
Our bold hearts are stronger than those troubled souls
Can we prevail?
Or must I retreat
& cast off?
