The Other Failed

When held open
so selfishly
my delivery
became empty
the motion devoided
the sun sets on an ugly west
pockmarked with arid illusions
the kernel removed
misplaced replaced
back and forth
so much
so that motion means
less and less
the swing up and down
less dramatic
quixotic drives quieted
breezes subdued
no motions
the other failed
and fell apart.
